Blood and Steel – Hardcore Style

Two Bristol Big ‘Uns strutted their stuff at this event recently. Nurgleonbass took a Karchev Tier 4 list and Lurkus waded in with a Morty Cryx list.
The action was fast and furious and both members emerged from the Carnage with 3 wins from 5. A great performance given the lack of experience in this environment.
Well done to the Battlecult boys on a successful inaugural tournament.

Khador themed table

Well done to nurgleonbass (that’s moi!) on finishing the clubs second themed Warmahordes table. Another winter themed table but this time with more of an industrial/supply station feel. Six more tables to reach the club target of 8.

Inter-club Challenge

The Bristol Big’Uns travelled up to Ross-on-Wye to take on the might of the Dice&Decks gaming club. D&D are a thriving club playing all sorts of systems (MTG, 40K and Hordes&Warmachine were going on when we visited) and has a good spread of ages playing. If you’re in Ross-on-Wye of a Friday evening then pop by St Marys Church for a game.

The Big’Uns arrived for a Hordes&Warmachine showdown and emerged victorious with a 6-4 win/lose ratio. D&D will get the chance of vengeance later in the year at the return match in Iron Acton.

Well done to Ogrekhan on finishing his Everblight themed table. A fantastic fairy-tale feel to it with the powder snow and ruined castle. Just seven more tables to go to reach the club goal of nice tables for club nights and future events.

Welcome!

Hello everyone. At the moment I doubt anyone outside of club will see this so just a post to say what I’ve done and how I think we might make use of this.

I’ve moved the blurb from the website front page to the ‘About’ section. I suggest we use the first page to highlight changes we have made to the other pages. So, for example, I’m doing that right now, but if you post something in another section just leave a note here to say so. That will keep the front page fresh and point outside viewers to our most recent stuff. I’ve created a Warmahordes page for the scenary blog.

I’ve also fiddled with the header of the page a bit. It looks a bit ropey at the moment so if anyone can do better please go ahead.

I can see a possible conflict between this blog and our much loved forum, so we will have to see how the relationship between the two develop. We may find there is a need for just one or the other, or some sort of happy synergy between the two.

Have a play people and get posting. The more of us contributing the better this will become and a better advert it will be to the wider world of gamers.
